Allyson Felix is a two-time Olympic gold medalist in track and field, which makes her the most decorated female athlete in American history. She won gold in both the 2008 and 2012 games, surpassing the four medals won by Jackie Joyner-Kersee in 1984 and 1988, and is one of only eight athletes to ever claim two Olympic gold medals. A native of Hampton, Virginia, Allyson was an All-American high school track star at Hampton High School. At the University of Southern California she earned all-American honors in 2006 before earning Allyson her first Olympic gold medal in 2008 in Beijing. She was inducted into the USA Track & Field Hall of Fame in 2011.
